I started a journey 81 days ago and when I started this journey I had no idea where it would take me. During these 81 days I was working, homeschooling my two blessings, maintaining my home, being a wife, stopped working, volunteering, decided to go back to school myself and had a family emergency that caused us to leave for the lower 48 for two weeks. However, with everything still happening all around me I was still able to complete my Bible in 90 Days reading in 81 days! I know that this was all from Him because I was unable to do this by myself. There were times where I just wanted to go to bed or just do something else but He would not allow me too. The more I read the closer I got to Him. I was finally able to understand things that I never understood before. All the honor and glory goes to God!
Six years ago I gave my life to Christ, four years ago I was baptized in His name, and now I have read His Word.
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13

Day 78 Check In
I cannot believe that I only have 12 days left of the Bible in 90 Days reading! Last week I was ahead of my reading by five days, as of today I am not. With the new change in our schedule I have not been reading like I should be. Although, I am on Acts 7 I will have read through Acts 16 before the end of the day which still puts me on track of completing the Bible in 90 days. October 5th is the "official" last day of the Bible in 90 Days reading but I am setting a goal to be done by October 1st. So I am off to do some more reading!

Week 11 Check-in
I am loving the Bible in 90 Day reading!
Last week I started the New Testament and now I am in the book of Luke chapter 10. Along with that I have read 81.1 percent of the Bible. I am so close to reaching my goal! The more I read the more my love for Jesus builds. I have read the Gospels many of times but now after reading the whole Old Testament I am seeing the Gospels in a whole new light. Before I would read it but never read it wholeheartedly until now. The feeling I have I cannot explain but I know that my walk with God has grown much more than before I started in the Bible in 90 Day reading. God has done some wonderful things in my life and I am excited to see what else He has in store for me.

Week 10 Check In
I just have to start off that I am on such a Spiritual high right now that I cannot even explain it. Remember last week when I did my Bible in 90 Days reading check in that I said I was confused but I prayed God will help me understand? That was on Monday last week, well three days later God showed me that He heard me and He will provide. Just recently the hubby and I decided that maybe it was time to find a new church to attend. After much prayer we finally found our home church and this church sends out their newsletter on Thursdays. When I opened up the email I about fell out of my chair. The church was starting their new fall curriculum and they will be covering the Bible from Genesis to Revelation and will cover how it all forms together. Was I not just praying for understanding? Was I not just saying "prayers go up; blessings pour down?" A great friend of mine always tells me that "His timing is perfect." He always provides and this is just another confirmation that He has shown me.
As of right now I have just completed reading the book of Joel and have read 71.1 percent of the Bible. By the end of the week I will have read 75 percent of the Bible! I am so overwhelmed with emotions because this reading has been a huge accomplishment for me. I have always wanted to read the entire Bible and I am so close to accomplishing this goal of mine.
God is showing me so many things and I am so humbled by all of His works.

Week 9 Check-in
So far I have read 62.2 percent of the Bible and after reading my tonight I will be up to Jeremiah 48. There are so many parts of the Bible that I do not understand but I am praying that God will show me understanding. Last night I read Jeremiah 29 which within that chapter is my favorite verse Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." But I also love the next two verses that follow, Jeremiah 29:12-13 "Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." These three verses show that God does have plans for us and that we need to call upon Him. Although, in verse 13 it states that we will not know Him until we seek Him with all of our heart. Not just a part, or a little bit but all of our heart. I hear many people who are believers but do not truly know God. They do not have a relationship with Him because they do not take time each day to pray or to read the Bible. The Bible is here for us to know God more. I admit there are days where I do not give God my full attention. I pray for conviction in this area. Over the years my walk with Him has gotten stronger and stronger and I thank Him every day for my salvation. Since I have started this reading my connection with Him has become even stronger. I am beginning to see the many things He has done for those of Israel and Judah, and how that He does it because He loves them. Kind of makes one think why we do certain things for our children. Because we love them, as He loves us.

Day 50 Check In
I have finally reached the halfway mark of the Bible in 90 Days Reading. I will be starting Isaiah 20 and by the time I go to bed tonight I will have completed Isaiah 28. I have bookmarked my Bible and saw how much I have read and very excited for my accomplishment so far. I finished Proverbs over the weekend and I love this book. To me the book of Proverbs offers wisdom that I can use in every situation that I am in. My favorite scripture that I use on a daily basis is "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding but in all ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6 This is the first scripture I had memorized and one that I use daily. It brings me much comfort knowing that if I just lean on Him and not myself He will direct my path.

Psalm 80:17
I am still on track with my reading and after my reading today I will have completed Psalm 108. During my reading yesterday I came across Psalm 80:17 and had an "uh huh" moment. The passage reads "Let your hand rest on the man at your right hand, the son of man you have raised up for yourself." I know that the OT mentions the coming of the Lamb but during this reading I have not really seen the messages as I had yesterday. I mean it was plain as day, black and white, jumping out at me from the page. Also, over the weekend God has shown me where I have backslid some and that I need to improve in those areas.
This week I will reach the halfway mark of this challenge!

Week 6 Check-in
Well, it is time for my weekly check-in of my reading of the Bible in 90 Days. I have done pretty well with staying on track of my reading. There have been days where I will be a half a day behind but by morning I am all caught up. Since arriving back from our emergency leave my days seem to be off track but I am praying that God will help me remember what day it is and what needs to be done.
At this moment I had finished reading the book of Esther last night and will be starting Job this morning. When I was reading the book of Nehemiah and the book of Esther two things had jumped out at me. In the Book of Nehemiah I realized that he was speaking in first person. Up until then everything was written in third person but with Nehemiah it was nice to read from his perspective. In the Book of Esther I saw that God was not even mentioned. The book did cover the destruction of the Jews that Haman wanted to create but His name was never mentioned (from what I saw).
For the next week I will be reading Job, and about a fourth of the Book of Psalms.

30 Percent Complete
I cannot believe that I have read 30 percent of the Bible. I just finished reading 2 Kings and now onto 1 Chronicles. I was doing really well with staying on track of my reading and at one point I was two days ahead. Well, with us flying back I lost track of days and only read half of my Saturday reading. However, on Sunday I caught up and now back on track.
I do have to admit reading Kings got a little confusing with all the kings and the wars but I did get through it. Overall, I am happy with my reading and learning so much.
How is your reading going?

YouVersion App
A few months back the hubby and I had switched cell phone carriers because our old provider does not have a store or even its own tower here in Alaska. When we switched to AT&T, we decided that we would splurge and get the Iphone. I am overall happy with the purchase but I am so excited about one of the apps that I found. It is called YouVersion. I know this app can be found on many other phones but I have never even heard of this app before. I saw that is was a Bible for my phone and on top of that it had the Bible in 90 Day reading plan!
Having this app has really helped me to stay on track with my daily reading and I am so grateful that I am using it. I know that I would probably fall behind without it. After being here in Indiana for the last week or so it has come in handy. We are staying in a hotel that is 25 minutes away from where my in-laws are staying and I am able to read about three chapters before I get to my in laws. I am able to do my reading when I cannot have my Bible on hand. The YouVersion app has really helped me when I do not have my Bible on hand with me.
This works for me!

90 Day Check In
I did not check in last week with my Bible in 90 Days reading because of everything going on around here. It has been a crazy week around here; not knowing if father in law was going to pass, flying to Indiana, staying in a hotel, eating out, mother in law in ICU but with all that going on I am happy to report that I have stayed on track with my reading.
I like to spread my reading out throughout the day so I can focus on Him each day. However, when I do that I have to make sure that I read a couple of chapters at a time because there have been a few times where I would climb into bed and see that I had eight chapters to read. That can be tough and I try to have all the reading done by midnight.
I know Satan is not happy with all my reading and he is trying everything he can to have me miss a day but all I have to say to Satan is **sticking out my tongue**!
God will prevail, He always does.
Also, thank you to everyone for the prayers and your encouragement during these times and I happy to report that my mother in law and father in law are doing just fine. Their doctors have come back to say that they have some changes to do but they are doing much better and out of the woods. Praise God, all the Glory goes to Him; The Great Physician.

Week 1 Complete
Week one of reading the Bible in 90 days is complete. I am happy to report that I had completed each of my readings every day. There were a few days where I thought I would fall behind but I sat down and focused on my reading.
In all of my other Bible readings I could never get past Exodus until now. I am now half way through Leviticus and have read 8.9 percent of the Bible. I have a wonderful app on my phone called YouVersion. I am able to do my reading wherever I maybe. For example, I took my daughter and a friend to the lake today and while they burying themselves in sand I was burying myself in my reading.

And It Begins
I hope everyone had a blessed Fourth of July weekend and were able to have a lot of rest. We had a great weekend and will write about it later today. Right now I would like to talk about the challenge that 375 people and I signed up for and that was to read the Bible in 90 days.
I know many people may not agree with this challenge because they say that we cannot have time to meditate on God's Word and to truly understand what we are reading. I agree. I, however, am participating in this challenge for a personal goal. I want to see all of God's Word because I always seem to read the books. I want to see more! I have always wanted to read the Bible from cover to cover and I have always failed. So when I heard about this challenge last year I was praying that another would start and thankfully it did. I instantly raised my hand to sign up. The best part is Amy over Moms Toolbox has everyone who is involved to check in every Monday for accountability; even if we are not where we are suppose to be in our reading we are still to check in. I need that, I need accountability. Also, throughout the challenge Amy will be hosting Twitter parties to discuss what we have been reading (use the hashtag #B90Days) or if we have questions on what we were reading. If this is something you would like to do please head over to Moms Toolbox to "officially" sign up.
Will you join us? We would love to have you!
