I look out the window
and I see snow blowing in all different directions. I can hear the wind howling
outside. I get lost in the scene I see outside. A storm outside is brewing and
showing just how powerful it can be. I
begin to think how many people face these same storms but the storms battle
within.
The snow blows in one
direction and quickly blows another. At moments white-out conditions appear.
The wind is so cold it goes straight to the bones. How easy it can be to get
lost in such drastic conditions. The same can occur within us.
We face drastic
conditions that cause a storm within us that we can get lost and consumed with
the storm. White-out conditions can cause us to lose focus of everything that
is going on around us. The coldness of the storm can cause our hearts to become
cold. The storm becomes stronger each day we allow it to overtake us.
You are done battling.
You are ready for this
cold, frigid, storm to be over.
You gather your
strength and take this storm head on. You begin too warm yourself with His word.
You pray continually. You ask for His strength to battle the storm within you.
The storm continues, but you continue to keep your focus on Him. You rejoice
for the blessings you know He will bring. You thank Him for the blessings He
has already given you.
You know storms will
not last forever and you know you can do all things through Him who strengthens
you. You are not defeated. This storm seems to last for days but the blessing is
knowing that all storms come to an end.
Hold on the storm is almost
over. Do not give up. Keep praying. He hears you. The storm is almost over.
The
white-out conditions will only last for a moment…
