A couple weeks back I talked about making homemade laundry soap, and I wanted to give an update on that. So far I really like it. I think it may be just the thought of how inexpensive it is, but I think it works just fine. The hubby has used it when he has done laundry and has mentioned how he liked it.
It doesn't have the smell as commercial laundry soap and that is because I did not use essential oils. I do tend to use a little more than what is instructed but I think that is because I feel it may not be enough to wash clothes. I have also turned to using vinegar for fabric softner, which again I think works really well for us. We orginially were paying about $25-$30 a month on laundry supplies but now I will pay about 90 percent less than that! The amount of soap I made will probably last through summer, and I buy a large amount of vinegar from Sam's Club, which will last a few months.
This works for us!

We make our own laundry soap and also use vinegar and I love it! At first I had to get used to not buying detergent but quickly realized how much money we were saving! Great job!
