First, I want to say, yes we are big cereal eaters. This is one item that needs to be in our cupboards at all times. I have thought about lowering my grocery bill by not purchasing cereal but then that was only a thought.;) I usually do not plan for the weekends, because we usually eat leftovers. Also, we are usually on the go that we just grab something quick from the kitchen. However, starting in February I will try my hand at "once a two week cooking". Many have heard about "once a month cooking" but I will start out cooking for two weeks. I feel I need to "ease" into the "once a month cooking".
This week will be a busy one for us because my children start some new activities. My daughter has Girl Scouts on Monday night and starts ballet on Wednesday. My son will now start his Tae-Kwon-Do two days a week (was on Saturdays), which will be on Tuesday and Friday. Plus, we also have school starting up this week.
What about you? Now that the Holidays are over, is your week going to be busy??? Do you "once a month cook"?

Our Rite Aid and Safeway have had good cereal deals lately, with boxes for $1.00, even less if you have coupons. We're big cereal eaters too, so I make sure to stock up on great sales!
ReplyDeleteHI -
ReplyDeleteI just started this menu planning as well. I don't think there is anything wrong with eating cereal - we do at our house a lot too. And if you watch sales and use coupons you can usually get cereal for pretty cheap!
Thanks for the ideas!
Thank you ladies! Unfortnately, we do not have a Rite Aid here in Alaska but we do have a Safeway. I will have to check out their coupons. I usually do not pay more than $2 for a box of cereal. I try to hit the clearance section at our Commissary to see what cereal they have discounted. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteHello friend! I was checking out your menu as I finished my bowl of cereal. I am counting calories and trying to choose healthier options, so I had shredded wheat with blueberries and almond milk. Yummy!
ReplyDeleteHello April~
