Do you have a song that is your "go to" song when things are getting tough?

I sure do, and actually I have many "go to" songs.  Depending on what I am facing at the time, certain songs speak to me more than others. 

This particular song by Kathryn Scott is on my playlist that I listen to every night before I fall asleep.  No matter the situation I am always hungry for God and I know that He will get me through any situation I am facing.

Cinderella - Steven Curtis Chapman

For this week of Sings My Soul Saturday I chose a song that has a great meaning to my husband.  Our daughter will be turning ten years old on Monday and like most parents the time has flown by for us.  When this song plays I always catch my husband looking at our daughter and I can tell in his eyes (which usually have a glint of wetness) what he is thinking, "My baby girl."
I believe this song truly expresses the feelings that most parents feel when thinking about their children.  Also, it shows the importance of a personal relationship with a father and not just our earthly fathers but our Heavenly Father.    

How Great Thou Art

Ever since I have heard of Sings My Soul Saturday, I have had this song in my head.  I just love this song and wanted to share it with you.  Blessings to you all!

Mighty To Save

"Mighty To Save" by Michael W. Smith is one of my favorite songs.  I have been listening to praise and worship all day since we found out the news.  God lifted me up when He sent me His word through an email and I did not want to lose sight of that.  A friend texted me today after reading my earlier post and one thing she asked me was "What can you find to praise Him for in this situation?"  Well "B" I think this song explains it all to well :)

If anyone knows me, they know that I am a HUGE MercyMe fan and back in March I was able to watch them perform in concert for the first time. I love all their songs but there is one song that will ring in my heart forever and that is "God With Us." This particular song reminds me the day I was baptized back in March 2008. I cannot tell you how many times I listened and cried to this song on that day and still cry when I hear it. When I walked out onto stage to be baptized that song was playing and it was not planned by anyone but Him. Then two years later to hear MercyMe sing live was a moment that I will never forget. I pray this song has a huge impact on you as it did me.
