Today
we went into town where our Target is located so I decided to go in for a few
deals. A couple of the items I purchased our more treats than anything but I
was able to pick up some bananas and ears of corn. I already have enough
bananas but to pay $0.24 for 5 large bananas I could not pass up. I will be
cutting these up and freezing them for smoothies. The ears of corn I was able
to get for free. I will be cutting the ears into halves and freezing them as
well.
Here
is what I scored at Target today:
4-12
pack of soda= $1.75/each
4
ears of corn= free
5
bananas= $0.24
1-6
count of Snickers bars= $0.49
Total
spent:
$8.13
Some
may be wondering how I was able to do this. So do not worry I will share.
Let’s
begin with the soda. Many stores will have soda on sale during the summer months.
Right now Target has 4-12 pack of Coke products on sale for 4/$10. My local grocery
store has a manufacture coupon in their ad circular for $3 off four 12 packs of
Coke, which allows me to use the coupon at Target. This brings the soda to
$1.75 per 12 pack.
The
ears of corn and bananas I used my mobile coupons from Target. If you text FRESH and/or JULY4 to 827438 you will receive coupons on your cell phone. The
coupons have $1 off of $1 or more fresh fruit and fresh vegetables. Target
sells bananas for $0.24 each so I picked up 5 bananas to ensure that I reached
the dollar amount. Target also has 4 ears of corn for $1, which allowed me to
use my $1 off of $1 or more fresh vegetable coupon.
Along
with the Target mobile coupons was $1 off $1 or higher frozen food item. I used
this coupon stacked with a printable $1.50 off of one Snickers ice cream treat.
Stacking these two coupons allowed me to purchase this treat for $0.49.
If
you are close to Target stop in for these deals!
Nice! Great job girl. My shopping trip wasn't as awesome (only had 3 coupons) but I did save 45% at Kroger today. lol
ReplyDeleteCouponing is fun. I once saved $88 at the commissary and the lady behind me was beside herself.
