Plans For Our Life

How many of us make a plan for our life?

I am going to make a guess and  probably say pretty much everyone.  I am right there with you.  I make plans all the time and with that I am constantly changing my plans.  That is just it though; my plans.  My plans are usually what I want and what I think is best for me.  I fail to realize that my plans may not line up with His plans.

Our time here in Alaska will be coming to an end a little over a year from now and even though we will be leaving such a wonderful place, I have to say that I am getting excited.  PCS (permanent change of station; when we move to a new base for my non-military speaking folks) time is approaching for us and I cannot wait to hear what duty stations will be available for us.  The next duty station will more and likely be our last duty station so I am praying to head back overseas for our last tour.  I cannot tell you how excited I am to find out our choices.  Of course, I have hubby reeling me back in and reminding me that no matter what plans I have going on in my head, that God is in control.

Do I really have to admit when he is right???

No matter how many plans I develop in my head, I have to remember it is His plans that will prevail.  It is not just my plans for moving, but in everyday life that I have to remember He is in control.  He knows what He is doing, and I put my trust in Him.  I look at new situations in my life that I may not understand or agree with and think "ok, Lord what am I suppose to learn from this one?"  No matter the plans I have set for myself or for my family, He will make the final decision.  He already knows the ending before it even begins.

So no matter what we have planned, we need to remember that He is in control.

"Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails."
Proverbs 19:21
