We were always hesitant to have indoor pets, too, although we got a cat when our daughter was 12. She took great care of it and learned a lot. When our daughter moved to England, the cat couldn't move with her. Now we'd hate to give up our cat - wonderful company for us empty nesters! Visiting from HHH! Deb @ LivingMontessoriNow.com
