Awe yes…trust in the Lord.
How did I stray from that?
Proverbs
3:5-6 was the first scripture I memorized as a new Christian. I carry that
verse with me everywhere I go. To me, it fits any trial or situation one may be
facing. So how did I fail to realize this when I needed it most?
As
humans we can get so caught up in the things around us that we lose focus on
Him and what He wants us to do. Yes, it is easy to throw in the towel when things
get tough. Trust me I want to do that all the time! I battle that daily. I
rather just lay on the couch or in bed and just say I am done. I have days
where I do. The weight of the world is too much to bear.
Am
I losing trust in Him after all the help and blessings He has given me?
No, I am not.
I have lost focused. I have fixed my eyes on other things and set Him to the side. I do not acknowledge Him like I was a month or two ago. I have leaned on my own understanding. I am that jaggedrock being pulled by the currents. I have rough edges that need smoothing. I am on my knees pleading to Him.
“Lord,
I trust in You! I ask for Your forgiveness! I cannot have the enemy use my body
as a battleground anymore! Help me Lord! I need You!
“I will never leave
you nor forsake you. You are my daughter.”
A
daughter of the King.
My
best battle fought is on my knees. Crying out to Him. I am not strong on my
own. I need Him. I stop acknowledging Him and I lose.
I
shall not fear!
“The Lord is my
light and my salvation-whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold in my
life-of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked advance against me to devour
me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege
me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will
be confident.” Psalm 27:1-3
